doing the stuff that matters when trying to sell online

Sara Blakely, founder and CEO of SPANX, shares how failure has been a catalyst to her success – and how she’s uses it to learn, grow, and see the upside in everything.

Women’s history month is a time to celebrate the tremendous contributions that women all over the world have made. And in this episode, we’re bringing you an interview with one woman who has changed history.

Her name is Sara Blakely, and Tony had the pleasure of speaking with her at his recent Business Mastery event in Palm Beach. She’s the founder of shapewear company SPANX, and in 2012 – at just 41 year old – she became the first female in the world to become a billionaire, on her own, without the help of an inheritance or spouse.

As a parent I completely agree with *the parenting strategy* that she’s talking about, cuz I use a similar version with my own daughter to always ask,
    *”what did you learn”*
when she gets hurt or when something happens to encourage her to think about what she learned from that experience. Though I’m not going to deny that it’s such a *force of habit* with me in second nature to ask that question to my daughter that *I’ve even adopted it* to myself when something happens to me, 😅😅😅
