What does it take to be happy?

We live in a culture where happiness is largely based on external forces – like what we get and what we achieve. And when our life conditions don’t match our expectations, we experience pain and fear. We suffer. But imagine what it would feel like to create a constant sense of inner peace and freedom, and live each day in a beautiful state.

In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, you’ll hear a very special conversation with Tony, Sage and Michael Singer, renowned teacher and author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Untethered Soul. They discuss what happiness really is, and what’s preventing you from living a life of peace and joy. They dive into the thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that are limiting your consciousness, and shed light on the ways you can commit to the new habits and patterns that will allow you to let go of pain and suffering and start living a life of self-realization.

Discover what’s holding you back from being happy. Tap into unique methods of meditation and mindfulness that you can use to start living in the present moment. This is the time to take the risk and let go of your pain, step into the unknown, and allow life to unfold in the beautiful way it is meant to.

About the author

  • Nate Philips says:

Shoutout to everyone who is about to watch a life-changing video! Don’t just watch this…take action! Rise up, take courage and do it!

  • Jesse L says:

I rather chase purpose and meaning not happiness. I think happiness is a byproduct.

    • Nate Philips says:

I completely understand where you’re coming from. Maybe another perspective is that you don’t actually chase purpose. You live it out. Purpose isn’t a destination, but a journey. What do you think?

    • Turbo Swordsman says:

I would add something here but I agree and see where your coming from. if you look at the formula for happiness it is that your life conditions = your blue print (the way you think it should be) you can chase your purpose and change the meaning but still focus on the things that your missing, so your point definitely isn’t wrong and it’s awesome you pointed that out I would just add fixing focus in their too

    • Jesse L says:

Live out your purpose through taking on responsibility. Consciously seeking to be a better person and bearing your burdens and responsibilities. After that is taken on seek to find the beauty in life, because you understand how bad things can be. Happiness will come.

  • Turbo Swordsman says:

For anyone who is like me and watches these videos and find really good information, and semi apply it like I did, I will tell you DON’T LET YOUR MIND LIE TO YOU, it may be hard to remember everything that is said but here is what worked for me, take one lesson (you can come back for more) write it down and do it, put it as your wallpaper or post it in your room where you can see it every day, and break it into small pieces! Example instead of saying I GOTTA GO TO THE GYM say (I only have to get up and put on my shoes) that will give you the momentum you need to go forward! Hope this helped someone take action! Much love and as Tony says live with passion!

  • Sara Videogeek says:

I used to complain a lot early in my young adulthood. It’s how I was coping with stress. I had a rough childhood with no role models on how to handle stress…then real life stress hit me when the earlier stress was really nothing. Death, loss of jobs, divorce…those were real. Coming out through those on this side of my mid-life I learned 1. Who I really am 2. Its my reaction to stress on my happiness. I learned over years I really loved myself and to LET THINGS GO. I saw the things in life that were truly stressful and we bring stress onto ourselves. Learn to love yourself, gain tools and apply them to let things go…and then when real stressors happen, you have practiced with the little stressors in life and know how to handle true struggles and threats to the self.
